HYDROSTATIC TURBINE/PIPING 1 DISPENSER s <br />TEST <br />a. Delineate area for testing and secure with safety barricades. <br />b. Inspect for fuel. If fuel is present, remove fuel and recycle or dispose <br />according to federal, state, and local guidelines. <br />c. Remove sensor' (disconnecting cable should not be necessary) and <br />protect from damage. <br />d. Seal off all secondary containment piping. Cold pressure -wash <br />containment using Environmental Chemical Solutions, Inc. FM 186-5 <br />solution. Spot cleaning may be performed with Environmental <br />Chemical Solutions, Inc. FM 186-2 solution. <br />e. Remove generated rinsate with shop rags and/or drum and label for <br />disposal by client. <br />f. Fill containment with clean water to 2 " above the highest <br />penetration. Wait 60 minutes before proceeding with test. <br />g. Install Incon Sump Testing System (TS -STS) hydrostatic tester <br />according to manufactures guidelines and precede with testing. <br />Proceed with two consecutive 15 -minute tests on each containment <br />area. If the results of the tests are -0.002 inches or less, the test: is <br />considered a pass. <br />h. Log all results on State Water Resources Control Board Secondary <br />Containment Testing Report Form. <br />i. If results indicate a failure: remove water, repair and retest. If after a. <br />second series of tests, the containment does not pass, the test will be <br />considered not liquid tight. <br />j. If results indicate a pass: remove water; and return sump to its <br />original configuration. <br />I If necessarv, the monitoring system maybe deactivated to allow for testing. ONLY technicians certified by the <br />monitoring panel manufacture shall perform the deactivation. <br />Repairs will be conducted in accordance with federal, state, local, manufacture, and/or industry standard <br />and shall be expected to last the life of the system. All repairs other than tightening clamps, will required an <br />approved permit by the local agency. Systems requiring modifications or major repairs shall have a work plan <br />submitted to the local agency within thirty (30) days. <br />I When diesel sumps are clean and/or cleaned with FM 186-2 and FM 186-5 water will be deemed clean and <br />transported to the next facility. After several tests, based on clarity and/or a sheen the test media will then be <br />drummed, classified, and disposed of according to local, state, and federal regulations. See Environmental <br />Chemical Solutions, Inc. FM 186-2 and FM 186-5, appendix I. Gasoline sump test fluid shall be drummed <br />and disposed of by the customer. <br />
