DEPT i <br /> A log of monthly checks of the unburied single walled piping was not found on site. According to the <br /> designated operator(DO)on site, a company comes out to inspect the generator. The DO did not have the <br /> documents. For an emergency generator tank system,the unburied piping is exempt from regulation if <br /> visual inspections are made each time the system is operated, but no less than monthly, and a log is <br /> maintained. Immediately submit the inspection log to the EHD. <br /> This is a minor violation <br /> RESPONSE: Generator run log was not available at the time of the inspection. Emailed copy <br /> from Richard Silveira shows unburied piping inspections during each generator run time <br /> Page 2 of the Designated Operator inspection reports demonstrates compliance with monthly <br /> inspections of the unburied piping <br /> See referenced inspection documentation below. <br /> Item#302 <br /> Notice of Violation <br /> HSC 25291(b)UST system incapable of detecting leak from primary into secondary containment(pre-Jul <br /> 2003). <br /> The H5: Fuel Polisher sensor was not working during the inspection. According to EHD records, the <br /> buried piping attaching the fuel polisher to the underground storage tank is still in place and operable. All <br /> secondary containment containing primary fuel lines needs to be monitored.
