(REUSE EXISTING)
• -Will the monitoring system cold start be necessary at any point? (YES I THINK SO)
• -All the piping after leaving the vault will be above ground? (YES, WITH COVER)
• -Does the facility conduct daily inspection of above ground piping? (YES)
• -It appears that an existing underground line from the fuel polisher filter to the UST will be removed? If so,
please provide additional information for this pipe removal (it's page 4 of the permit application), please include
the provisions for soil sampling below the piping and waste disposal for any excavated material (fill out page 5,
sampling protocol). (SHOULD BE ALL ABOVE GROUND REMOVAL)
• —Also it appears that concrete be broken near or above product lines and/or the UST? (IT SHOULD NOT
NEED TO BE BROKEN BUT IF FOR SOME REASON IT IS WE WILL KEEP IT MINIMAL)
Thank You,
Mark Crisp
P.C. Center Street, Manteca Tank Retrofit Fee
Hi Mark,
I have been in the field, and haven't had the chance to review everything in detail. However, I do have a
few questions based on my preliminary:
1. -Does the vault already have a sensor and are you planning on reusing it? Or will you install anew
sensor?
2. -Will the monitoring system cold start be necessary at any point?
3. -All the piping after leaving the vault will be above ground?
4. -Does the facility conduct daily inspection of above ground piping?
5. -It appears that an existing underground line from the fuel polisher filter to the UST will be
removed? If so, please provide additional information for this pipe removal (it's page 4 of the
permit application), please include the provisions for soil sampling below the piping and waste
disposal for any excavated material (fill out page 5, sampling protocol).
6. —Also it appears that concrete be broken near or above product lines and/or the UST?
Sincerely,
4/29/2015
