No problem was found. Since the annular sensor failed and was replaced at the time of inspection, the problem may have been cured. However, the tanks at this location were manufactured in the mid - eighties with very large dry annular volumes that were vented to the atmosphere when initially installed. This has resulted in past rain entry through uncapped vent pipes and/or condensation appearing occasionally. Although annular vents were eliminated during system upgrades prior to 1998, many of Quik Stop's tanks of this vintage require an occasional swabbing as residual moisture makes its way to the probe. For the time being, we will watch to see if the problem returns and periodic swabbing is required. All three of the failed spill buckets were replaced on 7/6/07. A copy of the retest results is enclosed. Original test results are being mailed to your attention directly by Walton Engineering. Also, a copy of the invoice showing that Walton Engineering obtained and paid for the required permit is enclosed. A Return to Compliance Certification is also enclosed.
