Knoll <br />Subject: Alarm Monitoring Requirement Information <br />MCI is forwarding to San Joaquin County the information you requested, <br />on May 18, 1989, covering the procedures that MCI will use to detect and <br />respond to, an underground tank alarm reported at our facilities within <br />San Joaquin County. This information includes copies of our notifica- <br />tion procedure, detection alarm database information, alarm equipment <br />installed at each facility and copies of tank test results. <br />The packets of information cover the Kingdon facility located at 13850 <br />N. Devries in Lodi and the Manteca facility located a4f ouise <br />in Manted'a-,--t1lifornia, in San Joaquin County. <br />It is the full intent of MCI Telecommunications to detect underground <br />fuel tank alarms, dispatch required personnel to investigate alarm, <br />to report to responsible Management personnel the results and if necess- <br />ary to repair the facility in full compliance with California and San <br />Joaquin County published requirements. This will ensure MCI maintains <br />this facility in full operational and environmental compliance at all <br />times. <br />In the event any repairs are required, MCI will contract with an Under- <br />ground Tank Environmental Service Company, which is licensed and certi- <br />fied by the State of California and San Joaquin County, to perform all <br />necessary repairs to ensure full compliance with the Underground Storage <br />Tank Regulations published in Title 23, of the California Administrative <br />Code and San Joaquin County Ordinances, directed at Underground Storage <br />Tanks. <br />Sincerely, <br />G!/ S <br />Gerald D.
