Weber Avenue-3rd Floor
Stockton, CA 95202-2708
Re: Underground Storage Tank Inspection
Dear Mr. Catanyag:
On November 1, 2005, you completed an Underground Storage Tank Inspection at two
MCI facilities located in San Joaquin County as part of the SB989 testing. The MCI
facilities were located at 2551 E. Louise Avenue in Manteca and 13850 Devries Road in
Lodi, California. As part of the inspection, you listed some items that required immediate
attention. I have enclosed a copy of the UST Monitoring and Response Plan for both
locations. Employees who perform work at these two locations are currently receiving
training from the Designated Tank Operator. When this training is completed, I will
forward a copy of the training documentation to your attention. In addition to this
information, a Mr. Chris Huffman of MCI faxed you a copy of the UST being continual
monitored by the MCI surveillance center in Cary, North Carolina. MCI will also be
performing repair work at the Manteca site in December and plans are currently being
formulated for performing work in Lodi. A copy of the scope work will be submitted to
San Joaquin County for the permitting process. If you have any questions concerning this
submittal, please contact me at 972-729-5671.
Sincerely,
%
Todd Harris, PG
Western Region Environmental Team Leader
Enclosure
