oct 03 02 01:48p Elite W Contractors Inc 209461 342 p.4 <br />SOIL PROCEDURE <br />\1 '' 'o <br />Soil samples collected using a metric soil sampling hammer and two 2 -inch long by 3 -inch diameter <br />brass or stainless steel sleeves. The ends of each sleeve will be covered with Teflon sheets, capped <br />and sealed with tape. <br />Following sample collection, each sample sleeve will be labeled with the boring location, depth, <br />time, date and sampler's initials. Appropriately sealed and labeled samples will be placed in a chilled <br />container under ice and transported under chain -of -custody procedure to CalTech Environmental <br />Laboratories (a California Department of Health Services certified laboratory) in Paramount, <br />California. <br />Each soil sample will be analyzed for the following constituents: <br />• Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as diesel (TPH-d) in accordance with EPA Method <br />8015 Modified; and <br />• Benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene and total xylene (BTEX) in accordance with EPA method <br />8020. <br />
