c. Set peak voltage of holiday detector at 10,000 volts. If Scotch-kote 202 is used, set peak voltage of <br />holiday detector at 1,000 volts. <br />d. Repair holidays and damaged or defective wraps with two complete wraps of tape. <br />e. Do not backfill wrapped or coated pipe until testing and repairs have been completed and approved. <br />f. Remove temporary blocks prior to backfilling trench. <br />F. Tracer Lines: Install tracer wire on fuel, vent, vapor return, and electrical conduits for future detection <br />purposes. <br />G. Piping Leak Test: <br />1. Perform a precision piping leak test by a certified Tank Testing Contractor upon completion of tank <br />installation. <br />2. Isolate piping from tank for test. <br />3. Test in accordance with LGJ procedures. <br />4. Test Length: 30 minutes without a drop in pressure. <br />5. Make leak or defective piping tight with new material. a <br />6. Submit results of test to State, showing tanks and piping are leak -free. <br />3.06 TANK FUEL LEVEL SENSOR AND LEAK DETECTION SYSTEM <br />A. Installation: In accordance with manufacturer's written recommendations. <br />B. Panel Location: Locate fuel level sensor and leak detection panels in gas/oil house. Coordinate exact <br />location with Construction Supervisor. §' <br />3.07 SENSOR CABLES <br />A. Installation: Install tank fuel level sensor cables and leak monitoring cables in 1 inch conduit. <br />3.08 FLEXIBLE CONNECTION <br />A. Application: Install flexible connections at following locations and at any other location where required but <br />not specifically mentioned: <br />1. Between shear -off valve and fuel piping from tank under dispenser; at secondary tank vent connection; <br />2. At tank -to -piping (fuel, vent, and vapor return) connections; <br />3. At changes in direction of piping: (fuel, vent, and vapor return); <br />4. Inside containment sump: Between submersible fuel pump and fuel supply piping to dispensers; and at <br />primary tank vent piping to extractor -fitting connections. <br />3.09 EMERGENCY FUEL SHUT-OFF VALVE <br />A. Installation: Install on fuel product lines under fuel dispenser and set level with top of island surface level. <br />3.10 PROTECTION, CARE AND CLEANING <br />A. Protect materials and equipment against moisture, dirt and damage. For piping to be tested with water, <br />drain and flush to remove foreign matter.
