Section 2: Routine Maintenance <br />Weekly Maintenance: The following items shall be physically inspected for general <br />condition weekly. <br />• Dispenser hoses and nozzles. <br />• Tank fill and vapor recovery lids inspected for a watertight fit. <br />• Overspill containers (at the tank filling opening) are inspected for cleanliness. If <br />present, dirt or debris is removed and fuel is drained into tank. <br />Monthly Maintenance: The following equipment shall be physically inspected at least <br />once every month in order to determine if there are any leaks. <br />• Fuel dispenser cabinets. (Inside and Out) <br />• Secondary containment sumps. <br />• Measuring stick will be inspected for general condition and warpage (for facilities <br />using SIR as a monitoring methods.) <br />Annual Maintenance: The following equipment shall be physically inspected and tested <br />for proper operation by a certified technician at least once every twelve months. <br />• An annual Monitoring Certification will be conducted by a certified technician. The <br />following equipment is annually certified to operate according to manufacturer's <br />specifications. <br />• Annular Space Sensor(s) <br />• Sump Sensor(s) <br />• Dispenser Containment Sensor(s) <br />• Electronic Line Leak Detector(s) <br />• Mechanical Line Leak Detector(s) <br />• Automatic Tank Gauge Device(s) <br />• Fuel Dispenser meters (Certification by county Weights and Measures is adequate) <br />Maintenance associated with Lined Tanks and Cathodic Protection. <br />• The operator shall inspect the impresses current cathodic protection system once <br />every sixty (60) days for proper operation. <br />• An approved cathodic protection tester shall test the impressed current cathodic <br />protection system every three years. <br />• Interior checks with certifications by an approved coating expert or special inspector <br />shall <br />• conducted ten (10) years after initial lining • and every five (5) <br />years thereafter. <br />Sgctlion 3: SRills gnd Suspected Leaks <br />3.1 Notification: In the event of a hazardous material fuel release, or a threatened <br />release, immediately notify the appropriate authorities. This is to be done as soon as <br />possible without delaying the immediate control of the release or threatened release, <br />or delaying emergency medical procedures.
