Hwy 88, Lodi, Ca
The attached application is submitted to apply for a permit to perform repairs on the #1/2 UDC and Super
secondary pipe. The enclosed test results indicate the failures.
We feel the failures are probably under the #1/2 UDC as it is a shallow Environ pan. The secondary piping
under the USDC will have a rubber boot covering the primary flex and these have been subject to failure.
We plan to remove the concrete adjacent to the #1/2 UDC, expose the product line and air test the
secondary. If the boot is bad we will replace it and re -test the super secondary line. If the line will still not
hold air we will perform the same operation at the other dispenser. If the line will stili not pass the pressure
test we will expose the balance of the line and check for the failure with a soapy water solution.
All our work will be subject to your inspection prior to backfilling.
Once the inspection is passed we will replace the concrete at our work areas and place the system back into
operation.
We should not be excavating to native soil, just into the backfill material so I am unclear if soil sampling will
be required.
Thank you,
rkVendeiro
MVP Petroleum Engineering, Inc.
916-205-1537
