Underpump Emergency "Shut -Off" Valves <br />Emco Wheaton underpump emergency valves are mounted on <br />fuel lines in submersible pumping systems at island surface <br />level and are designed to shut-off in the event of fire or impact <br />to prevent possible dangerous situations. These emergency <br />valves are U.L. listed. They are designed for years of safe, <br />dependable operation. <br />A60 Underpump Emergency <br />Valves <br />The A60 is a U.L. listed <br />emergency valve designed to <br />shut off product flow in the <br />event of fire or the dislodging <br />or overturning of product <br />dispensers. The top portion of <br />the valve immediately shears <br />off on impact, and a heat sen- <br />sitive fusible link automatically <br />closes the valve poppet in the <br />event of fire. <br />The A60 is installed on <br />product lines at the island <br />surface level and features a <br />built-in port to test the com- <br />plete piping system pneuma- <br />tically without breaking the <br />Emco Wheaton underpump emergency valves are available <br />in a wide range of top connection designs and mounting <br />configurations to meet various installation criteria. All feature <br />simple, fast installation and maintenance. Replacement tops <br />for Emco Wheaton underpump emergency valves are also <br />available. <br />line. (Note: Valve should not <br />be pressurized above 50 psi <br />during testing.) The valve can <br />be easily opened and closed <br />by hand for pump repair or <br />removal, and can be manually <br />reset. (Note: operating valve <br />against pump pressure is not a <br />recommended API practice.) <br />Laminar flow design of the A60 <br />assures minimal pressure drop <br />during operation. Low profile <br />for easy installation.
