Contact the local fire department and the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District for any <br />applicable permits. <br />2. Any changes shall be submitted to EHD for approval prior to commencing work. All new addendums <br />supercede the previous ones. <br />3. All components must be certified by an independent testing organization and labeled as required by the <br />organization. (UL, ULC, ANSI, API, ASTM, etc. See California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 23 <br />Chapter 16 Table B for complete list). The component must bear the appropriate mark as required by the <br />independent testing organization. <br />4. All monitoring equipment must be approved and listed in the State Water Resources Control Board's Local <br />Guidance Letter 113:"List of Leak Detection Equipment and Methods for Underground Storage Tanks." <br />5. At least one person who holds the International Code Council (ICC) UST Service Technician certification <br />and manufacturers' certificate of training for all components installed or tested must be onsite when work is <br />performed. <br />6. Contact Ray von Flue at (209) 468-9848 to arrange the following inspections appointments (a 48-hour <br />notice is required for inspection appointments): <br />a. Leak Detector Test: Leak detectors must be tested to confirm that the device can detect a leak of 3 <br />gallons per hour at 10 psi. <br />7. Each person installing or testing any component must hold a certificate of training from the manufacturer <br />of that component. <br />8. A "Certificate of Compliance for Underground Storage Tank Installation Form C" shall be submitted by the <br />owner or the owners' agent [pursuant to (CCR) 2635(d)] before this upgrade will be considered complete <br />by EHD. <br />If you have any questions or need to schedule an inspection, please contact me at (209) 468-9848. <br />Ray von Flue, REHS <br />Senior Registered Environmental Health Specialist <br />
