Your help is greatly appreciated. Per our conversation, here are the additional
information our office (EHD) requires before Service Request SR0057217 for the EVR upgrade can be approved:
-- Location of the fuel lines drawn on the map.
-- Correction of the two trench lines of the new vent lines (current diagram is inaccurate) drawn on the map.
— The fate of the original vent line(s) to the existing vent: is it disconnected or not? If disconnected, is (are) the original
underground vent line(s) still in the ground, blanked off, or has it been removed?
-- Depth of the new trench lines
-- Depth of the penetration to the 91 Sump
The above information is required to determine if 2nd containment tests for the piping and for the tank and a lake test for the sump
are needed, and also to maintain an accurate record of the UST facility at EHD. Since the work has already been implemented
(without EHD's approval), EHD strongly recommends for you to make a site visit to acquire accurate information if you are
uncertain of the information you are providing.
Please be aware that San Joaquin County EHD requires prior approval of any service request to upgrade or repair a UST
system, including verification of the functionality of a UST monitoring system before the UST system can operate. Ultimately, it is
the tank owner and operator who has the responsibility of staying in compliance with Title 23 California Code of Regulations and
Health and Safety Code for UST system. Therefore it is crucial that the above information be submitted to EHD, so a permit can
be issued and its conditions are met as soon as possible.
A copy of this email has been cc to Diane, and a printed version to the tank owner.
Best Regards,
Jeffrey C.F.
