09/29/2003 11:59 FAX 916858101 TAIT ENVIRONMENTAL 191012 <br />WESTERN FIBERGLASS, INC. 1-800-688-3375 <br />SUMP BOXES <br />Z= <br />The Sump Box shall provide a contained environment for piping and fittings from product sources <br />to underground systems, and junction and termination boxes for both electrical and fluid handling. <br />The sump shall contain environmentally hazardous materials that might leak from pipe fittings, <br />termination's, and flex -hoses contained within the sump box. The sump box is suitable for use in <br />all climates and conditions. The sump box shall be manufactured by Western Fiberglass, Inc. <br />System Specificatioln: <br />The Sump Box shall: <br />1.01 System Suitability: <br />A. Be installed either above or below ground or partially buried to suit applications <br />required. <br />B. Be of sufficient size to allow all piping terminations, fittings, equipnwat and flex - <br />hoses to be caitained within the Sump. <br />C. Allow ample area to provide for servicing and inspection of all piping terminations, <br />fittings, equipment and flexom within the Sump. <br />D. Contain any release of environmental contaminates from piping and fittings enclosed <br />within the Sump. <br />1.02 Construction Specifications: <br />A. Meet or exceed United States National Bureau of Standards PS -15-69 for Custom <br />Molded Reinforced -Polyester Chemical -Resistant Proem Equipment. <br />B. Be constructed of materials that are not harmful to the environment. <br />C. Be non -permeable by hydra -carbons and not weakened, by exposure to these materials. <br />D. Be suitable for petroleum products and blends. <br />E. Have a thirty (30) year warranty. (Excluding Gaskets). <br />F. Be available as a U.L. Lisfi:d device if required. <br />1.03 Release Monitoring shall: <br />A. Allow full visual and physiiml access/inspection of all piping fittings and equipment. <br />B. Provide a monitor point for an electronic probe and/or evacuation of fluids. <br />
