It must be installed in a non hazardous area -
Choose a location where the ST controller will experience minimum temperature changef
and where it will be protected •• physical harm.
ST Tank Management Systems collect level and temperature data from up to 4 (ST 1400)
or up to 8 (ST 1800) ultrasonic inventory sensors and compute various volumetric
quantities, correcting all volumes for temperature (net volume).
Z. Inventory Sensor
The ST ultrasonic inventory sensor can be installed in a dedicated riser pipe (with a
straight hanger) or in a fill pipe (with a creased drop tube, offset hanger and installation
tool). This setup creates lower cost retrofit installations because the inventory sensors are
installed with little to no downtime to the station.
the signal to the ST controller where they are amplified, digitized and managed by a
microprocessor and its associated software.
