Recordable Releases: Any unauthorized release ftvm primary containment which the UST operator is able to dean tp,within eight(8)hours after the release was detected or should reasonably have been detected:and which docs not escape from secondary containment,docs not inc-c se the hazard oir fire or explosion,and does not cause any deterioration o£secondary containment.must be recorded in the facility's monitoring records, Monitoring re:ords must include: r > The UST operators name and telephone number; Y A!ist of the types;quantities,and concentrations ofhazardous substances released; y A description of ibc actions taken to control and clean up the release; P The medtod and location 0fdisp058l of the released hazardous substances,and whether a hazardous waste manifest as or will be used; Y A description ofactions takCn to repair the UST and to prevent future releases; t Y A description orthe method used to reactivate interstitial monitoring after replacement or repair of primary contain a;int. I Reportable Releases: Any overfill,spill,or unauthorized release which escapes from secondary containment(or primal v containment if nu secondary containment exists),increases the hazard of fire or explosion.or causes any deterioration of secondary containment,is a reportable rel aa!e. Reportable releases are also recordable. Within 24 hours after a rcporta'ate release has been detected,or should have been detected,we will notify the local a;;f:icy administering the UST program of the release,investigate the release,and take immediate measures to stop the release. If necessary,or if required by the logia ;gency,remaining stored product"wasto will be removed from the UST to prevent furthe-releases or facilitate corrective aciion, if an emergency exists,we will notify it a State Office of Emergency Services.
