/vFEL DER
Bright People.Right Solutions.
samples were also collected and handled as applicable per Typical Kleinfelder Field
Protocol, a copy is located in Attachment E.
ANALYTICAL RESULTS
A total of five soil samples, three from within the tank excavation and two 4:1 composite
stockpile soil samples were submitted the following analyses:
• Total Purgeable Petroleum Hydrocarbons (Gasoline Range) [TPHg] by GC
FID/EPA Method 8015M
Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes [BTEX] and Methyl tert-butyl ether
[MtBE] by EPA Method 8260B
• Total Extractable Petroleum Hydrocarbons by EPA Method 8015M
Total Lead by EPA 6010B
The three discrete soil samples were also analyzed for six additional oxygenates including
the following:
® Di-isopropyl ether (DIPS), Ethyl tert-butyl ether (ETB), tert-Amyl methyl ether
(TAME), tert-Butyl ether (TBA), 1,2-Dibromomethane (EDB), and 1,2-
Dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) by EPA Method 8260B
The results for the discrete excavation and composited stockpile soil samples are
summarized on attached Tables 2 and 3, respectively.
The analytical results for the discrete excavation samples (Table 2) were shown as not
detected at or above laboratory reporting limits with the exception of total lead which
ranged from 4.9 to 7.9 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg).
The two composite stockpile soil samples (Table 3) had similar results with the exception
that total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) as hydraulic oil (TPHho) was detected which
ranged from 2.5 to 430 mg/kg. Total lead ranged from 4.0 to 12 mg/kg.
For additional details refer to the chain-of-custody form and analytical results in
Attachment A.
125819.E01/ST013RO732 Page 5 of 10 December 11, 2013
Copyright 2013 Kleinfelder
