Contact the local fire department,building department and San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution <br /> Control District for applicable permits and requirements. <br /> 2. Any changes in information or scope of work must be submitted to this office prior to <br /> commencing work. All new submittals supercede the previous ones. <br /> 3. The UST system primary and secondary containment must be "product tight." "Product <br /> tight" is defined as "impervious to the liquid and vapor of the substance that is contained, or <br /> is to be contained, so as to prevent the seepage of the substance from the containment." <br /> Health and Safety Code (HSC) 25290.2. <br /> 4. All piping, connections, sump containment, and penetration of both primary and secondary <br /> shall bear an UL label as described in the equipment cut sheet. <br /> 5. All piping must slope to a containment sump with an audible and visual alarm to detect a <br /> leak at the earliest possible opportunity. . <br /> 6. All equipment in contact with backfill must have corrosion protection. <br /> 7. If automatic pump shut down is provided, it must satisfy 2636(f)(5) of California Code of <br /> Regulations (CCR). <br /> 8. Contact Steven C. Shih at (209) 468-9850 to arrange inspection appointments; 48-hour <br /> notice for inspection appointments is required. Contact EHD for the following inspections: <br /> (a) Tank Installation: tank installation checklist shall be completed and submit to this office <br /> on or prior to final inspection. <br /> (b) Primary piping, secondary piping and piping slope. <br /> (c) 24-hour lake test on all containment sumps and under dispenser containments. <br /> (d) Spill bucket test. <br /> (e) Overfill prevention must satisfy CCR 2635(b)(2)(C). <br /> (f) Final inspection. A final inspection must be performed prior to operation. <br /> (i) A complete monitoring and response plan must be submitted prior to the final <br /> inspection.
