The following is an itemized list of underground storage tank violations that have not
been addressed for SHELL k5 as of June 09, 2017.
Open violations from March 29, 2017 inspection
Violation #319 - No spill bucket, failed to contain five gallons, or failed to provide a means to keep it empty.
All USTs shall be equipped with a spill container that has a minimum capacity of five gallons and a drain valve that
allows drainage of the collected spill into the primary container or provide a means to keep the container empty. The
87 product spill container had a 3/8 inch drop in volume during the one hour hydrostatic annual test. Immediately
contact a properly licensed, trained, and certified contractor to correct the leak or replace with an approved spill
container under permit and inspection of the EHD.
The 91 product fill spill container failed to hold 5 gallons of liquid when tested. Technician measured about 700 ml of
water that could not be placed into spill container. The diesel product fill spill container failed to hold 5 gallons of
liquid when tested. Technician measured about 2400 ml of water that could not be placed into spill container. Spill
containers that do not have a 5 gallon capacity must be replaced once they fail a tightness test.
