Lafayette St., Stockton <br />The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has completed the review of <br />the application for an amendment to the permit to remove the following underground storage <br />tank (UST) systems, including piping and associated appurtenances, at the above noted <br />address: <br />Tank # 39-0520435: 8,500 gallon unknown <br />Tank # 39-0520436: 8,500 gallon unknown <br />The proposed amendments (submitted December 21, 2011) include a closure in place for <br />portions of the UST piping located under a building on site. <br />The following deficiencies have been noted: <br />1. The applicant shall submit a written approval from the City of Stockton Fire Department <br />allowing the Closure in Place prior to the EHD approval. <br />2. The applicant shall remit a $375 review fee along with the "Application for Permit to <br />Close Underground Storage Tanks Storing Hazardous Materials" form. Any additional <br />review time required will be assessed at $125 per hour. <br />3. The work plan submitted shall include the following additional details of construction: <br />a. The location, sampling plan, and removal and/or closure plan for the 1 %2 inch, two <br />inch, and three inch UST piping located in the southern pipeline trench. <br />b. The location, sampling plan, and removal and/or closure plan for the 3/ inch 1 %2 inch <br />UST piping located in the northern pipeline trench, including any portions under the <br />building. <br />c. Cross-sectional drawing of the piping and proposed angle borings. (Indicate where <br />the borings will terminate.) <br />d. A minimum of one soil sample every 20 lineal feet of piping. <br />e. Provide a method for sealing the boring(s) and indicate the sealing material to be <br />utilized. <br />
