Each set of issues corresponds directly with the denoted report. All laboratory reports
• are included in Appendix C.
Validation issues with report number 60709:
Values reported for p,m-xylene that are below the MRL should be considered estimates. Values
for p,m-xylene are reported to the lower CRDL of 0.50 µg/L.
There are discrete peaks in the diesel range for the samples from MW-27 and MW-35, atypical
for diesel fuel.
There are discrete peaks in the motor oil range for the sample from MW-27, atypical for motor
oil.
Validation issues with report number 60734:
Values reported for p,m-xylene that are below the MRL should be considered estimates. Values
for p,m-xylene are reported to the lower CRDL of 0.50 µg/L.
Matrix spike/ matrix spike duplicate results associated with sample MW-44 for the analytes
benzene and MtBE were affected by the analyte concentrations already present in the
un-spiked sample. This flag was due to percent recoveries outside of QC limits. RPD values
were in QC range in the MS and MSD indicating a degree of precision. Both percent recovery
and RPD values for benzene and MtBE were in range in the LCS and LCSD indicating both
accuracy and precision, thus, reported values are considered valid.
•
1 QO8QSSRQRSRQMR.Final.doc 19 April 30,2008
77TW.26397.42.1307
