On Track Transportation needs to immediately hire out a contractor that is approved by
Caltrans to clean up the release. There is a Caltrans approved contractor list I can give you if you still need it.
EHD needs to be on site to witness the final cleanup and any sampling that might occur for waste profiling. Once the
cleanup has been completed, I will need to receive the final disposal records and any waste profile documentation. It
usually takes a couple of weeks for you to get that record. After that, the incident will be closed with the county. As I
mentioned over the phone, the EHD does bill for time spent towards this until the incident has been closed. We bill at
152 dollars/hour.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Thank You,
John Alaniz
REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
1868 E Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, California 95205
Phone: (209)468-3147
Fax: (209)468-3433
Please note, my email address has changed to jalanizi@sjgov.org.
1
