Know the load limits of your lift and don't exceed <br /> them. Raise the vehicle one foot off the ground and <br /> check for stability before raising the vehicle the rest <br /> of the way.All lifts should be equipped with a - - r> �•,4 <br /> mechanical locking device. <br /> If the lift: <br /> •jerks or jumps when raised <br /> •slowly settles or rises after being raised or lowered <br /> • comes down very slowly <br /> •blows oil out of the exhaust or packing nut <br /> . . .tell your shop manager immediately and don't use <br /> that lift until it has been properly checked. <br /> Hydraulic Presses — Pullers and Vices are all devices that <br /> involve high pressure.
