SAKJ OQQ u I N Environmental Health Department <br /> COUNTY <br /> Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> BROTHERS TRANSMISSION 1100 E MAIN ST, STOCKTON September 24, 2019 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II, or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: (2) 55-gallons drums of used oil were observed open in the hazardous waste storage area. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and <br /> storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed <br /> when not adding or removing waste. Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: (2) 55-gallon drums of used oil containers were observed on-site with incomplete labeling. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the <br /> words"Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition <br /> (contents), accumulation start date <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: The violation was corrected during the inspection by employees while inspector was on <br /> site. No further action is required to correct this violation. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by October 24, 2019. <br /> Starting September 1, 2018, all in-office CERS help will be provided at EHD hourly rate ($152).
