All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. #3 Safety Signs OBSERVATIONS:The following signs were missing. Provided within one week: • Keep closed signed is missing.A sign shall be posted on the exterior side of gates and doors leading into the pool enclosure area stating, "KEEP GATE CLOSED"or"KEEP DOOR CLOSED". • Diarrhea Sign:The pool operator shall post at the entrance area of a public pool, a sign in letters at least 1 inch (25 mm) high,that clearly states that persons with diarrhea and persons who have had diarrhea within the prior 14 days shall not enter the pool water. CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535)Safety signs shall have clearly legible letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall,pole,gate, or similar permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 3120B) #8 Pool and Deck Lighting OBSERVATIONS:Five underwater lights are not functioning. Repair/replace these underwater lights within one month. CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of the pool. When a pool is used at night,pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck lighting is not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating"NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK"and shall secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark. (3115B) #37 Electrical Hazards OBSERVATIONS:Pump is not bonded. Provide this pump with bonding wire to prevent the transmission of any harmful electrical voltage to pool equipment and people. Correct within one week. CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Electrical equipment installed in the water, walls, deck, or equipment room of a public pool shall comply with California Electrical Code. (CEC 680.4)Light fixtures installed in the pool that operate at more than 15 volts shall be protected by a ground fault circuit interrupter. (CBC 3160B) #38 Filter Cleaning and Maintenance OBSERVATIONS:The pressure differential between influent and effluent was at 12 psi for outside sand filters. Clean/replace the filters within one month. CALCODE DESCRIPTION:All filters shall be maintained in accordance with manufacturer's specifications. (CBC 3123B)Pressure gauge located on the filter shall be marked with the clean startup reading. (CBC 3125B)Each filter vessel shall be provided with valves so that it can be isolated from the recirculation system for repairs and backwashing.
