(WFS) Vernalis, California facility (Figure 1). This work is described in
the following sections.
TECHNOLOGY DESCRIPTION
Tasks necessary for implementing the pilot-scale field test include installing one
small-diameter monitoring well and injecting Hydrogen Release Compound (HRC) into
the uppermost groundwater at the approximate locations shown on Figure 2.
This work is proposed as a pilot-scale field test to evaluate whether this technology
is an effective corrective action for groundwater under the physical and chemical
conditions present at the WFS Vernalis site. Furthermore, the test is proposed to be
performed in an area of the site with detectable concentrations of nitrate and chlorinated
hydrocarbons in the uppermost groundwater.
\\WCREEK-OI\DATA\PRJI\WFS\SHELL\VER\HRC plans\RWQCB Plan.doc
Regional Offices: Laboratories:
Atlanta,GA•Austin,TX•Boca Raton,FL•Chicago,IL Alpharetta,GA•Atlanta,GA
Columbia,MD•Huntington Beach,CA•Walnut Creek,CA A Boca Raton,FL
`, RECYCLED AND RECYCLABLE (9§
