Hwy
33, Vernalis CA.
Review of the above mentioned report was conducted by San Joaquin County Public
Health Services/Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) on January 16, 1997.
Sample results indicate chemical contamination of groundwater. As per my phone call
with you on Jan. 29, 1998, PHS/EHD has concerns regarding the potential for migration
of chemicals offsite and threatening drinking water quality in the vicinity.
On January 16, 1997, Steve Sasson, Senior REHS, of PHS/EHD performed a well survey
at the above site and the surrounding area. Mr. Sasson discovered several domestic wells
on properties adjacent to the Western Farm Services property. PHS/EHD urges that
precautionary sampling of these wells for constituents of concern be conducted as part of
the GeoSyntec work plan. Following are the property locations of the domestic wells
found nearby:
APN 255-180-05
APN 255-180-06
APN 255-180-07
APN 255-180-08
APN 255-180-09
APN 255-260-03
APN 255-260-04
APN 255-260-05
APN 255-260-06
APN 255-260-07
Please see attached map for further information.
