Page 10
Cabral-McAdams Property
October 16,2006
Job No. 1828-092.02
The two-part composite samples of surface soils from the locations S9 through S 12 also
were analyzed for TPH as gasoline, TPH as motor oil, and TPH as diesel, and BTEX.
Only TPH as motor oil was identified within these samples at concentrations above
laboratory reporting limits. TPH as motor oil was detected at concentrations of 280
mg/kg (for the composite sample from locations S9 and S10) and 1,300 mg/kg (for the
composite sample from locations S 11 and S 12).
Area B
Surface soil samples collected at locations S13 through S16, and S33 through S35, as
well as the one foot deep soil samples collected from locations S13 and S14 were
analyzed for lead and arsenic. Concentrations of lead identified in the soil samples
collected from these locations ranged from 8.0 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg) to 120
mg/kg. Arsenic concentrations identified in these samples ranged from less than 2.0
mg/kg to 12 mg/kg.
The surface soil samples collected at locations S13 and S14 were laboratory combined
into a two-part composite sample for analysis for organochlorinated pesticides. Surface
soil samples from locations S15 and S32 through S35, and soil collected at a depth of one
foot at locations S13 and S14 also were analyzed for organochlorinated pesticides. In
general, concentrations of organochlorinated pesticides were not detected in any of the
composite surface soil samples at concentrations above laboratory reporting limits with
the exception of 4,4'-DDE, 4,4'-DDD, 4,4'-DDT, which were detected in the composite
sample (locations S13 and S14) at concentrations of 0.290 mg/kg, 0.30 mg/kg, and 2.8
mg/kg, respectively. Analysis of the one foot soil samples collected at locations S13 and
S14 did not reveal any organochlorinated pesticides at concentrations above laboratory
reporting limits. Chlordane and/or 4,4'-DDE, 4,4'-DDD, 4,4'-DDT were detected in the
surface soil samples collected from Area B at concentrations well below established
regulatory agency screening levels.
A two-part composite sample of surface soils from the locations S 13 and S 14 and surface
soil samples from locations S15 and S16 also were analyzed for one or more of the
following: TPH as gasoline, TPH as motor oil, and TPH as diesel, and BTEX. TPH as
motor oil was detected at a concentration of 27 mg/kg in the two-part composite sample
collected from locations S13 and S14, and at a concentration of 1,100 mg/kg at location
S15.
Area C
Surface soil samples collected at locations S17 and S29 through S31, as well as the one
foot deep soil samples collected from location S17 were tested for lead and arsenic.
Concentrations of lead identified in the soil samples collected from these locations ranged
from 3.4 mg/kg to 270 mg/kg; arsenic concentrations identified in these samples ranged
from less than 2.0 mg/kg to 11 mg/kg.
