This letter includes a description of our
proposed work elements.
The subject property is located within an established residential area of Stockton, San Joaquin
County, California. The approximate 12.81-acre subject property is accessed by a private road
that fronts on North Sutter Street, approximately 450 feet to the west. The subject property is
bounded by the Calaveras River corridor to the north, by vacant land and an abandoned cherry
orchard to the east, and by a former railroad easement and residential property to the south. The
Siena Christian Elementary School, the easterly terminus of Fargo Street, and residential property
are situated adjacent to and easterly of the subject property. The San Joaquin County Assessor's
parcel number(APNs) for the property is 115-230-06.
We will direct the advancement of five soil borings (Geoprobe borings)within the orchard area of
the subject property (see attached Plot Plan) and collect up to five soil samples for laboratory
analysis. Prior to the described Geoprobe sampling activities, we would contact Underground
Service Alert to clear the boring locations of underground utilities.
All drilling and sampling activities would be overseen by a Professional Geologist from our
office. Continuous soil sampling would be performed in each of the five borings within the
orchard area. Following the sampling activities the borings would be backfilled with neat-
cement grout and surfaces would be patched accordingly.
Selected soil would be submitted to a State-certified analytical laboratory for chemical testing.
Analyses for organochlorinated pesticides and DBCPs would be performed by a State Certified
analytical labors ory.
