The following were observed near employee break room: - One container with approximately 40 fluorescent light bulbs observed in a non -secure container. - One container with approximately 10 fluorescent light bulbs observed in a non -secure container found outside the employee break room. - Approximately 20 fluorescent light bulbs observed not containerized. Note: Owner, Jim, states that he has been trying to have them taken to Household Hazardous Waste Facility in Stockton. He calls and tries to set an appointment with them, but never gets a call back. Owner also states that the amount of fluorescent lamps were acquired after a recent changing of lights within the facility. Universal waste lamps shall be stored in a manner that prevents breakage and release to the environment. Immediately store all universal waste lamps in a manner that prevents breakage and release to the environment. This is a repeat violation, Class ll. 712 CCR 66273.34 UW handler (UWH) failed to label universal waste to identify type of universal waste. The following were observed near employee break room: - One container with approximately 40 fluorescent light bulbs observed in a non -secure container with no universal waste label. - One container with approximately 10 fluorescent light bulbs observed in a non -secure container with no universal waste label found outside the employee break room. - Approximately 20 fluorescent light bulbs observed not containerized and no universal waste label found outside the employee break room. - two boxes with fluorescent light bulbs observed with no universal waste label found outside the employee break room. Universal waste shall be marked with the words "Universal Waste" and the type of waste (batteries, mercury containing equipment, lamps, electronic devices, CRTs, CRT glass). Immediately label these wastes and ensure that all universal wastes are labeled with the required information. This is a repeat violation, Class ll. Overall Inspection Comments: Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting paperwork, by August 31st 2019.
