I 120-bbl Vacuum Truck <br /> 1 Response Trailer <br /> 1 Presser washer <br /> 1 Air Compressor <br /> 1 Confined Space Entry/Rescue Kit <br /> 12 1,000 gallon Storage Tank <br /> 12/11 - 12/31/2018 — A contractor working for E&B Natural Resources utilizing a 120-bbl <br /> vacuum tanker discharged approximately 5,000 gallons of drilling mud that was contaminated <br /> with approximately 30 gallons of crude oil into a collection mixing pond, located at Maitri Road <br /> Recycling in Corona, CA. Cause of the release was determined to operator error. Patriot <br /> Environmental Services were contracted to respond to the release. An assessment of the area was <br /> performed by Patriot Environmental Services Project Manager along with personnel from Maitri <br /> Road Recycling. Response efforts to contain and cleanup the release include but not limited to <br /> deployment of 400 feet of soft 8" boom to divide, into sections the water and mud. Additional <br /> equipment and personnel were requested to perform clean up and removal of contaminated <br /> vegetation. Skiffs and a skimmers were used to remove oil sheen. All contaminated shrubs,pads, <br /> and boom were collected and accumulated into the roll-off bins. Approximately 15,000 gallons <br /> of oily water was recovered and accumulated into on-site temporary storage tanks, then pumped <br /> and transported to E&B Natural Resources. E&B has taken possession of the waste streams and <br /> responsibility for waste characterizing, profiling and disposal.
