Sample
analysis can be expedited for additional fees upon request.
ort
Upon completion of sampling and receipt and review of analytical results, a letter report will be
prepared for client review. The report will include:
• A description of field activities, observations, and protocols.
• Results of soil and groundwater sample analysis with copies of certified analytical
laboratory results.
• Description and documentation of QA/QC procedures employed for field and laboratory
work.
• Recommendations for further evaluation,if warranted_
CLEEN7 RESPO SMMITIES AND ASSUMPTIONS
This Proposal and the attached cost estimate are based on the following assumptions and
responsibilities:
• San Joaquin County Department of Public Works will assist Xleinfelder in obtaining
access to the site and owner authorization for the proposed sampling.
• Adequate workspace and access will be provided. Kleinfelder will attempt to advance
soil probes and collect samples at the proposed locations. If the drilling equipment
cannot be positioned, alternative drilling locations or sampling methods should be
investigated.
• The shallow borings will be advanced using a truck mounted Geoprobe rig utilizing
pneumatically driven sampling barrels. If difficult drilling conditions are encountered,
altemative-sampling methods may be necessary.
• Soil generated during the drilling and sampling will be the responsibility of the client.
The soil will be contained in plastic bags and left on site. Disposal or remediation
Options for the soil and water can be assessed once analytical results have been received.
Kleinfelder is prepared to assist the client andto remediate or dispose of the soil
generated,if requested_
• This Proposal 1s based on the presumption that the client, owner or USA will clearly
mark utilities and will provide any and all available survey maps or other data to
determine the location of existing structures, underground utilities and services. San
Joaquin County Department of Public Works should be aware that penetrating the site's
surface is inherently risky. It is impossible to determine with certainty the precise
location of all structures, which may be buried in the ground. Meinfelder's fee is not
adequate to compensate for both the performance of the services and the assumption of
risk of damage to such structures.
