SAN J 0 A Q U 1 N Environmental Health Department <br /> U ; i y 1 Iii <br /> Large Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> TRACY TOYOTA 2895 N NAGLEE RD, TRACY December 05, 2019 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 301 CCR 66265.31 Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: The following were observed in the hazardous waste storage area: <br /> -One 55 gallon drum with used absorbent observed with oil accumulating on top of lid. <br /> -Two 55 gallon drums with used paper oil filters observed with oil accumulating on top of lids. <br /> -Oily water observed on ground of hazardous waste storage area. <br /> The following were observed in the brake lathe shavings area: <br /> -One brake lathe machine observed with brake lathe shavings on tray. <br /> -One black brake lathe machine observed with containment tray full of brake lathe shavings and brake lathe <br /> shavings accumulating on machine. <br /> -One red brake lathe machine observed with containment tray full of brake lathe shavings and brake lathe shavings <br /> accumulating on machine. <br /> -Brake lathe shavings observed on ground of brake lathe shavings area. <br /> Note: Inspector observed one empty 5 gallon bucket reserved for brake lathe shavings. Operator states that they do <br /> not used the black and red brake lathe machines often. Operator states that they handle the brake lathe shavings <br /> as hazardous waste. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A hazardous waste generator must maintain and operate its facility to minimize the <br /> possibility of a fire, explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous <br /> waste constituents to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately clean oil stains and brake lathe shavings. Manage the waste according to <br /> Title 22 California Code of Regulations for hazardous waste.
