The generator must ensure that all employees who handle hazardous waste are thoroughly familiar with <br /> proper waste handling and emergency procedures. Immediately train the employees whose responsibilities include <br /> hazardous waste and provide proof of training to the EHD once it has been completed. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 505 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label stationary hazardous waste tanks. <br /> In the hazardous waste storage area, one 500 gallon used oil tank had an illegible hazardous waste label. All <br /> hazardous waste tanks shall be marked with the words"Hazardous Waste"and the accumulation start date. <br /> Immediately ensure that all hazardous waste tanks are marked with the required information. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(d)Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days. <br /> In the hazardous waste storage area: <br /> -One black 55 gallon steel drum containing paper and metal oil filters was missing an accumulation start date. <br /> -One 500 gallon used oil tank was missing an accumulation start date. <br /> Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of waste <br /> stored on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days. Since it cannot be determined how long the <br /> hazardous waste has been on site, immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste <br /> under manifest.
