A work plan for further investigation of the
contamination found was to be submitted to EHD by November 1, 2004. A work
plan was not submitted to EHD until March 15, 2005, after further directive from
EHD. In the work plan approval it was conditioned that the work be completed by
June 1, 2005, and the report of the work was to be submitted by August 1 , 2005.
The EHD has received a request for extension of completion of the work by
August 1, 2005, and a report of the work to be submitted by October 3, 2005.
If these dates are not met, the site will be out of compliance and reimbursement
for corrective action costs from the State Water Resources Control Board
Cleanup Fund may be in jeopardy. In addition, referral for formal enforcement
action could be made.
If you have any questions contact me at (209) 468-3449.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Department
Margaret Lagorio, Supervising REHS
Unit IV
c: CVRWQCB — James Barton
AGE — Arthur Deicke
