i �I 15 March 2005 AGE-NC Project No. 04-1168 Page 5 of 9 3.3. MONITORING WELL COMPLETION Pilot borings MW-1 through MW-3 will be completed as 2-inch diameter ground water monitoring wells. Procedures for well completion are detailed in Section 4.2.. 3.4. WELL DEVELOPMENT AND SURVEY Following well installation,each well will be developed to maximize water flow and minimize the amount of fine-grained sediment drawn into the well during pumping or bailing.After development, the top of each well casing(well head)will be surveyed to determine its exact location and elevation relative to mean sea level.Procedures for well development and survey are presented in Section 4.3.. 3.5. GROUND WATER MONITORING AND ANALYSIS Ground water monitoring of each newly installed ground water monitoring well will be conducted on a quarterly basis unless an alternate schedule or suspension of monitoring is approved by the SJCEHD. Ground water monitoring activities will include recording depth to ground water measurements and collection of ground water samples. Ground water sample collection procedures are described in Section 4.4.. Ground water samples will be analyzed by a State of California DHS- certified laboratory for the constituents listed in Section 3.2.. 3.6. REPORT PREPARATION Following the completion of soil borings, well installation and initial monitoring of the newly installed wells,a report will be prepared presenting the findings.The.report will include a description of work performed and the results of soil and ground water sampling and analysis.Laboratory reports for ground water analyses,testing methods,laboratory QA/QC reports,and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in quarterly reports. Conclusions and recommendations will also be included in the reports, if applicable. The reports will be in a format acceptable to the CVRWQCB, and will be reviewed and signed by a California Professional Geologist. 4.0. FIELD PROCEDURES All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of a California Professional Geologist.
