The EHD is aware of the current economic situation with the CUF and i
understands this imposes difficulties for responsible paties, but cannot approve of responsible
parties delaying site investigations indefinitely.
I
On February 24, 2009, CUF staff conducted a compliance review of your site at the EHD office
and the EHD informed them that you were not currently in compliance with investigative
requirements. It is important that you come back into compliance with the EHD directives so
that you can be issued a "Letter of Commitment" when 1he CUF has funds to reimburse you for
your corrective action costs. The EHD would like to discuss options for reducing the amount of
Proposed work with you and your consultant so that soine investigative work is performed and
you will be in compliance with our directives.
I request that you and your consultant meet with EHD tall on April 7, 2009, at 10 a.m. at the
EHD office, 600 E. Main Street, Stockton, to discuss options for future investigative work and a
time schedule for its performance. If you are not available to meet on this date and time, i
please contact me so the meeting can be rescheduled.
If you have any questions, contact me at (209) 468-3449
Margaret Lagorio, REHS
Program Coordinator
cc: Jim Barton, CVRWQCB
Thomas Ballard, Western Resource Management, 8036 Red Fern Ct., Antelope, CA
95843
I`
a
