All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #1 Pool Gates <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Two gates were padlocked and I was unable to inspect them. Make sure gates self closing devices are <br /> working. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Gates and doors leading into the pool area shall be equipped with self-closing self-latching devices. <br /> Self-latching devices shall be designed to keep the gate or door securely closed. Gates and doors shall open outward from the pool area <br /> except where otherwise prohibited by law. (CBC 31198) Pool operator shall keep gates and doors leading into the pool area well <br /> maintained. (CCR 65535) <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Pool is currently closed due to COVID-19 and property management will not open it up this season. Free <br /> chlorine level is low at 1.4 ppm. maintain at 2.0-10.0 ppm (pool service added 1 gallon of liquid chlorine). <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Public pools, when open or in use,shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br /> the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br /> or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools,and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations:3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br /> chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #35 Flow Meters <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Unable to read flow meter. Clean by 1 week. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Flow meters shall be provided on each recirculation system and shall be installed in accordance with <br /> manufacturer's specifications.
