NORCAE 0 P H Y S I C A L
L
CONSULTANTS
-IN C .
May 9, 1995
Ronnie Almero
CRC Environmental Risk Management, Inc.
17875 Von Karman, Suite 200
Irvine, California 92714
Dear Ronnie,
This report presents the findings of a geophysical investigation performed by NORCAL
Geophysical Consultants, Inc. at the American Savings Bank (ASB) on 150 West 10th
Street, in Tracy, California. The field survey was performed by Ted A. Heinse,
Geophysical Technician on April 19, 1995 under the direct supervision of NORCAL
Registered Geophysicist, William E. Black.
PURPOSE
The purpose of this survey was to obtain geophysical data that will aid in determining
whether UST's exist at the site. Additionally, five boring locations were investigated
for subsurface obstructions that could interfere with borehole drilling or probing.
SITE DESCRIPTION
Pertinent features associated with the site are described below and are shown on the
Site Location Map, Plate 1 . The rectangular shaped site covers an area of
approximately 16,100 square feet. The ASB building occupies the northwestern
portion of this area. A canopy extends south from the bank building to a planter.
Beneath this canopy, an asphalt covered roadway connects the asphalt parking lot
to the western portion of the site. The parking lot is bordered by planters to the
south, east, and west. Metal light poles are located in the planters along the east
edge of the parking lot. Overhead utility lines that parallel the southern site boundary
terminate at a utility pole located in the southeast corner of the site.
The locations of some underground utilities had been marked on the ground surface
with spray paint prior to the NORCAL investigation. These utilities include telephone
and electric lines. Other visible indications of utilities in the area include a water
main, a storm drain, and a gas main that is found within the fenced compound at the
southwest corner of the ASB building. The locations of all the detected utilities are
represented by dashed lines on Plate 1 .
1350 INDUSTRIAL AVENUE SUITE A • PETALUMA, CA 94952
TELEPHONE (707) 763-1312 • FAX (707) 762-5587
