The following items are required to be inspected at least daily: <br /> 1. overfill/spill control equipment; <br /> 2. aboveground portions of the tank system to detect corrosion or releases of water; <br /> 3. data gathered from monitoring and leak-detection equipment; <br /> 4. outside areas of the tank system including secondary containment to detect erosion or signs of releases of <br /> hazardous waste; <br /> 5.for uncovered tanks, the level of waste in the tank. <br /> If the documented daily tank inspections are found, immediately send a copy of them to the EHD. If no tank <br /> inspections have been done, immediately begin all required inspections of the hazardous waste tank system, and <br /> document the items inspected. Submit a copy of the inspection log for the next 30 days to the EHD. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(a)Stored hazardous waste on site longer than 90 days without a permit or authorization. <br /> One black 55 gallon steel drum containing a diesel sludge was observed without an accumulation start date. <br /> Facilities who generate more than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month may store waste on site up to 90 days. <br /> Since it cannot be determined how long the hazardous waste has been on site, immediately contact a licensed <br /> hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest.
