Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, <br /> explosion, or release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the <br /> environment. Immediately clean up the oil on the tank and the oily absorbent on the ground and manage according <br /> to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this <br /> waste was managed. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> One red metal 55 gallon of used oil was observed with an empty hazardous waste label next to the filter crusher. All <br /> hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> -the words"Hazardous Waste" <br /> -name and address of generator <br /> -hazardous properties <br /> -physical state <br /> -composition (contents) <br /> -accumulation start date <br /> Immediately ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required information. <br /> This was corrected on site. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 608 CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil and fuel filters. <br /> One blue metal 55 gallon drum of drained used oil filters was observed without an accumulation start date. Used oil <br /> filters shall be drained of free-flowing oil, stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as"drained used oil filters," <br /> and marked with an accumulation start date. Immediately ensure that all used oil filters are managed in this way. <br /> This was corrected on site. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by August 16, 2019. <br /> Starting September 1, 2018, all in-office CERS help will be provided at EHD hourly rate ($152).
