SAN JOAQUIN <br />CCU NTY <br />Environmental Health Department <br />Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br />Facility Name: <br />Facility Address: <br />Date: <br />J.G.'s Automotive <br />540 N GRANT ST, STOCKTON <br />July 19, 2019 <br />SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br />(CLASS I, CLASS II, or MINOR - Notice to Comply) <br />Item # <br />Remarks <br />403 <br />CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br />waste. <br />OBSERVATIONS: One white 55 gallon poly drum containing approximately 35 gallons of used oil did not have a top <br />that closed the container securely. <br />REGULATION: All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these container and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed <br />when not adding or removing waste. <br />This is a minor violation. <br />601 <br />CCR 66262.34(d) Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days. <br />OBSERVATIONS: One white 55 gallon poly drum containing approximately 35 gallons of used oil did not have an <br />accumulation start date. <br />REGULATION: Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg <br />of waste stored on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Since it cannot be determined how long the hazardous waste has been on site, immediately <br />contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest. Submit a copy of the manifest to <br />the EHD within 30 days. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />Overall Inspection Comments: <br />An inspection checklist was provided to the facility operator on the day of inspection. The EHD has written the <br />complete report which replaces the initial checklist. Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance <br />Certification form to the EHD with a statement documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken <br />for each violation, and any supporting paperwork, within 30 days of receiving the complete inspection report. <br />NOTES: <br />The following items were corrected on site during the inspection: <br />Item 1: No modified contingency plan and no emergency coordinator. <br />OBSERVATIONS: The facility did not have a modified contingency plan or an emergency coordinator.
