Responsible Individuals: Employees who generate waste and have the training in the following departments. Automatic, Fabrication, Tool room, Maintenance, New Tooling Note: PPE Personal Protective Equipment- Proper gloves, eye protection must be worn when handling listed waste at all times! Dust masks must be used when handling laser dust. 3. Special Definitions: SDS — Safety Data Sheets Hazardous waste label- Label used to identify a drum or other container to store and transport waste (white preprinted or yellow) Laser Dust- metal dust less than 500 micrometers generated from metal cut by a laser (light brown/Gray) Metal fines- metal shavings created from drilling or metal work (dark gray/black mixed with lubricants Used Oil- Oil that is no longer usable and is now a waste ( black or dark brown) Waste Coolant- Used fluid that is used for cooling purposes in machines (dark green/brown) Latex Paint- Water based paint used to paint our products (gray) Spill Clean up absorbent- a process to clean up spills using absorbent (light brown when unused, dark brown when saturated) Absorbent pads (pig blankets)- used to maintain control of fluids (gray) Absorbent sox- used to control a spill of fluids to maintain control and to protect the environment Waste Liquids- oil, coolant, oily water, hydraulic fluid Waste Solids- Grinder waste/filters, epoxy's, rags, absorbent Waste Paint- used paint, watery paint, aerosol cans Non-Conforming Product (Scrap) - Product that does not meet specification.
