{
I.P.C.P. TATTOO PLAN
Step t: Wash hands with anti-bacterial soap and arms thoroughly. Dry hands and arms, put
gloves on. Start work station set- up. Wrap instrument tray with barrier film. Place barrier film
on Arm Rest, Chair, Sink and Knobs. Place barrier film on anything you think you might touch
during the tattoo.
Put Clip Cord Cover on, place spray bottle covers on, set out any barrels, needles and grommets
that you will use. Set out tattoo machine and machine covers. Set out Ink Caps, Vaseline,
Razors, Tongue Depressor Stick(s), and Green Soap. At this time de-glove.
Step 2: Wash hands and arms with anti-bacterial soap, dry thoroughly. Put on new gloves and
at this time call the customer into room. Allow customer to see you open brand new instruments.
Open needles and barrels. Set-up both machines with machine covers. Set out ink in caps that
will be used on tattoo. Scoop out Vaseline with tongue stick and place barrier film on tray with
ink. Next, place foil over instrument tray until it is time to start tattoo. At this time you de- glove.
Step 3: Wash hands with anti- bacterial soap and dry. Place new set of gloves on. Start to
prep customer's skin for tattoo. First, wash skin with Green Soap or Dettol. Shave the area and
shave again. Apply the stencil. Have customer check placement of the stencil. If placement of
stencil does not meet their satisfaction, de-glove and wash up to start over again, if the customer
agrees with the placement, it is time to begin the tattoo. It is very important that the customer's,
skin is always on barrier film. De- glove at this time.
Step 4: Wash hands and arms, dry and re-glove. Put plastic apron on. Uncover your
instrument tray and begin tattoo. Never leave clean circle, if you absolutely have to leave clean
circle make sure to cover instrument tray and de- glove. When you re-start you must wash your
hands and arms and re-glove with new plastic apron.
1 1 IMPORTANT I 1 MAK SURE TO KEEP CRAKCERS, BOTTLED WATER, JUICE AND HARD
CANDY IN THE ROOM FOR CUSTOMERS THAT FAINT, ARE DIABETIC OR DON'T FEEL
WELL.
