The person that cleans the spill will put on their protective equipment before cleaning <br /> the spill. Once the protective equipment is on,all sharps will be picked up and placed <br /> back into the sharps container. All of the outside surfaces of the container is then sprayed <br /> with a cide and allowed to soak for 3-5 minutes before being placed back on the wall <br /> mount. The area where the sharps spilled is also sprayed with a cide and allowed to soak <br /> for 3-5 minutes before being wiped down and scrubbed with soap and water. After the <br /> scrubbing, all surfaces are sprayed again with a cide and allowed to soak for 3-5 minutes <br /> before being wiped. If the sharps spilled n the floor, the floor is mopped once it has been <br /> disinfected. <br /> Q. Trash Receptacles and Disposal of Contaminated Trash: List the type of trash <br /> receptacles and their location throughout the body art facility. Describe the procedure for <br /> the disposal of contaminated items, such as gloves. <br /> All procedure room trash receptacles are metal and have a closing lid. The trash <br /> receptacles in the lobby and restrooms are plastic. The trash receptacle in the sterilization <br /> room is metal and has a closing lid. Gloves are thrown into the trash receptacles that are <br /> in the rooms where they were used. All trash receptacles are emptied when they are full <br /> and at the end of the day. <br /> R.Negative/Failed Spore Test: Describe the procedure conducted when a monthly spore <br /> test has failed. Indicate whether the facility maintains a spore test log on-site. <br /> If a spore test fails,we would check the log book for the date that it was autoclaved on <br /> before it was mailed in for testing. A sterile log book would reveal who was responsible <br /> for operating the autoclave on that particular day. We would check to see what the <br /> temperature and pressure was during the load to find out if any of the knobs were adjusted <br /> before the load was ran or if there was a sufficient amount of water in the chamber at the <br /> time it was ran. The integrator would also be checked to make sure it passed. If any <br /> repairs needed to be made to the autoclave they would be taken care of before it was used <br /> again. This facility does keep a spore test log on site. <br /> S. Commercial Ink or Pigment Manufacturers: List the manufacturer for the inks or <br /> pigments used at the body art facility. Describe the procedure for dilution of inks. Only <br /> sterile water should be used for dilution of inks or pigments. <br /> Kingpin,National, Eikon,Mithra, Lucky Tattoo Supply, and Rely Aid are the main <br /> companies that this facility uses to purchase inks and pigments from. Only sterile water is <br /> used for the dilution of inks or pigments. <br /> T. Permanent Cosmetic Machine Name and Manufacturer: This facility does not <br /> perform cosmetic tattoos. <br /> U. Service Animals: Describe the facility's policy regarding service animals allowance in <br /> is procedure or decontamination and sterilization areas. <br />
