This disinfectant may be safely used on carpeting, hard flooring, counter <br /> tops, and plastics. Material contaminated with blood/body fluid will be disposed of in available <br /> biohazardous bags. If broken glass or other contaminated sharp objects are present, the material <br /> will be collected using a disposable device similar to a dust pan and brush. Contaminated broken <br /> glass will not be picked up by hand. Contaminated sharp objects will be disposed in red rigid <br /> biohazard waste wntainers. If there are any questions regarding the implementation of this <br /> section, please contact a member of the Safety Committee. <br /> EMERGENCY ACTION PLAN: <br /> In the event of a delay in service, or an anticipated delay in service due to a large scale community <br /> disaster, notify the Safety Committee Chair if the delay will result in Medical Waste storage over <br /> the seven day maximum limit. Alternate pick ups with other vendors will be coordinated if <br /> possible. If this is not feasible, the Department of Health Services at (916) 327-6064 will be <br /> contacted and consulted. <br />
