Fairmont Ave. <br />Lodi CA 95240 <br />Re: Infectious Waste <br />Dear Mr. Rawls: <br />In following-up our October 10, 1988 discussion concerning infec.- <br />tious waste removal and disposal, you had asked for the local ordinance <br />governing this material. In reference to Che Lodi Municipal Code Ordin- <br />ance No. 1433, page 3, ,defines refuse as follows - <br />"REFUSE" Any and all discarded items and substances of <br />every kind, including infectious wastes and sai-- <br />vageable or recyclable materials, and garden.�'wastes, <br />but not including sewage, ' septic tank contents, sand <br />trap contents, grease trap contents, or hazardous <br />wastes as defined by state an1d/or federal law. <br />As you will note infectious wastes is included in this ordinance. <br />Therefore as the contract collector for the City AlLodi it is our <br />company's responsiblity to remove and 'disposs of the material in a <br />manner as prescribed by city, county, state, and federal regulatory <br />standards. <br />I ', <br />The current agreement with City of Lodi and my company, Sanitary <br />City Disposal requires that the City of Lodi provide us with a disposal <br />site via an' agreement between the 0 t of` rod'!_ and San Joquin County. <br />A copy of this agreement is on file availablp through Lodi's city clerk <br />Alice M. Reimche. I have enclosed a copy of Lodi Muni pipal Code Ordinance <br />No. 1433, page 3. Hopefully, this information should answer any questions <br />you may have.
