0 <br />San Joaquin County <br />Environmental Health Department <br />Medical Waste Inspection - December 2, 2013 <br />Section 118280(b) <br />The following areas have pharmaceutical waste containers with open lids and exposed waste. 4 West <br />soiled utility room, RICU, 3 East soiled utility room, and room 7 of the Nuclear Waste area. Such <br />containers must have closed tight -fitting covers. These containers were closed on-site. The <br />issue was corrected on-site. Reminder that such containers must have the label "Incineration Only" on <br />w Corrected on-site on . <br />There are cherno containers in the pharmacy and in room P3211. Non -sharps cherno containers did not <br />have a lined red bio bag. Both non -sharps and sharps chemo container did not have the label <br />must be lined with a red bio bagkiif <br />w <br />Yellow bags have been removed from the hospital inventory. Staff has been instructed to use <br />red bags ONLY. Container labels ordered on 12/11/13. <br />NOTES: <br />1] Reminder that biohazard containers must have the "Bio -hazard" label and symbol on the lid and <br />all visible sides and must have atight-fitting lid. Ordered on12/11/1I <br />2\ Reminder that sharps container also must have tight -fitting lids. <br />3\ In the new "Patient Pavilion" there was a sharps container in a secondary container labeled <br />"Incineration Only." Remove the label orreplace the secondary container. You may also cover <br />the label. Corrected om12/2/13. <br />
