11 <br />HOUSEKEEPING HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE CONTROL POLICY <br />° An updated list of all hazardous substances shall be maintained in the <br />department. <br />° A labeled binder containing all pertaining MSDS (material safety <br />data sheets) shall be maintained in the department. <br />• All Housekeeping staff shall be inserviced annually on hazardous substances <br />used by the Housekeeping department. <br />• All new employees shall be inserviced on hazardous substances used by <br />Housekeeping prior to beginning a work assignment. <br />° All inservices shall be documented with: <br />- topic <br />-::mater. i $1 covered <br />- who held session <br />problems that need further investigation <br />signature of all employees in attendance <br />- retain a copy for department records <br />send a copy to personnel department <br />° Inservice shall include: <br />- name of substance <br />- location <br />- use <br />- hazards <br />- special handling <br />- first aid <br />- spill cleanup <br />
