J' <br /> B. Biological indicator testing is done once per week with the first load of biological waste of the day. <br /> 1. Place culture in a small box, tape box so that culture does not fall out. <br /> 2. Place Biological indicator test packs in autoclave bag with red bag trash and tie off the bag. <br /> l <br /> 3. Pressure gauge on San-/-Pak/sterilizer must be checked and recorded before proceeding with the <br /> process. Pressure gauge reading should be above 72psi. San-I-Pak sterilizer recordings of <br /> temperature and pressure will be stored in EVS and kept for a minimum of three years. <br /> 4. At the completion of sterilization cycle, the biological indicator test indicator is taken to the in hospital <br /> Laboratory for incubation. Results are recorded in a 3MTM log book, which is located in the ETCH <br /> Laboratory. The log is kept for three years. <br /> 5. Incubation time for control test is 3 to 5 hours before reading and documented. <br /> 6. Control has to be kept for 24 hours after the test is completed for visual validation. <br /> C.
